Experience the wonders of the wine region, take a trip on the Eurostar to London, find your inner child at Disneyland Paris, enjoy the buskers while dining in the Latin Quarter of Paris, take in a show at the Moulin Rouge, dare to drive a car around the Arc de Triomphe, take a moment to remember at Normandie…..and that’s just the start.

Travel Tip
Driving in France can be filled with adventure! You have the option of taking the major toll roads or taking your chances on the smaller country roads. We’ve tried both. During our first visit to France, we took the safe option and stayed on the major toll roads. While the tolls can be expensive, autoroutes are great for getting from A to B in the shortest time possible and are sometimes the best way to go. A ticket is collected as you enter the autoroute and the toll is paid as you exit. Please note: tolls may cause unexpected surprise upon leaving autoroute! See www.autoroutes.fr for more information. Recommended if you’re on a tight time schedule.
For an experience you won’t forget, you can try finding your own way off the toll roads. You’ll get to see more of France but be prepared for the challenges.
On our second trip, we printed out our own driving directions from the internet and headed off on our merry way. It sounded great in theory but was a lot more work than we anticipated. Still, we saw parts of France that we would have otherwise passed by. Please note: can cause heated discussions! Even though it did take us longer, we did eventually find our way. Recommended only if you can follow your nose and have time to spare.
